​Studio Cost of 2024 - 2025 Competition Team fees:
· $70 a month per extra 30 min comp team (Duets and Trio. Dancers will be invited for these special categories.)
· $85 a month per extra hour comp team (Duet, Trio, Small Group, and Large group. Dancers will be invited for these special categories.)
· $30 a half hour and $55 an hour for solo classes (Soloist must meet at least twice a month).
· Soloist must pay a one-time $100 choreography fee.
Competition Cost per event (these are averages):
· Line/Large Groups $90 per dancer
· Small Groups $90 per dancer
· Duets $115 per dancer
· Trio $90 per dancer
· Solo $175 per dancer

Requirements to Audition:
1. At least one year of study at DDS
2. Excellent attendance record
3. Dancer must audition for a spot in the team (including present members)
During the audition, dancers will be judged on technique, flexibility, and stage presence. Dancers will be placed on teams. Team decisions will be final.
Certain things will be expected of the dancer as well as the family:
1. Dancers are required to take at least one primary dance class during the week.
2. ALL Dancers are required to take their age group Ballet, Tap, and Jazz class and any genre in which they will be competing.
3. Dancers are required to wear tights and a leotard to competition team rehearsals.
4. Weekly competition team rehearsals are mandatory. Only 3 excused absences (phone call must be made to teachers) will be allowed. After that there is a possibility of dismissal from the team.
5. Each competition team member will be allowed 5 excused absences (phone call must be made) in each of their primary classes. If more than 5 are missed, there may be a possibility of dismissal from the team.
6. Dancers are required to make comp rehearsals a priority for the months of February, March, and April. Excessive absences will result in removal from their teams.
7. All company members must be available to attend all competitions. We have a list of competitions already for you. We plan to attend the Showstoppers National Finals next summer, July 4th week. If you have a conflict with any of the dates, you may be asked to withdraw from the team. Dances are choreographed based on the number of dancers in the group.
8. There are additional costs for competition fees, costumes & jump suits. These fees are expected to be paid within 10 days of receiving an invoice. Competition fees will be set out one month before competitions.
9. In the event of an emergency that keeps you from a competition, all efforts must be made to return the costumes to Ms. Amanda ASAP.
10. Inappropriate conduct toward any fellow dancers, teachers or dancers from another studio will not be tolerated and will result in immediate dismissal from the team.
11. Inappropriate conduct on social media by dancers or parents will not be tolerated and will result in immediate dismissal from the team.
Competition Weekends
1. Schedules for competitions are posted and sent out to teachers 10 to 14 days before a competition. As soon as they arrive, they will be sent out to all dancers.
2. All dancers must arrive 2 hours before their scheduled performance time dressed and ready to perform.
3. If a dancer is not with their group for warm up and pre stage rehearsal the day of the comp the swing will take their place.
4. All dancers must have a red backpack and garment bags with their pockets labeled. Each costume needs to have its own garment bag.
5. Tights must be purchased from the studio for competitions.
6. All Dancers need to purchase a studio jacket and pants to be worn over costumes during warmups at competitions.
7. No eating in Exposed costumes. Jumpsuit over!
8. No snacks in dance bags, or backstage. All snacks must stay with parents.
9. All dancers must change in marked dressing rooms. No leaving to hotel rooms or anything else if time does not permit.
10. No hair or make up changes after set by teacher.
11. No parents are allowed backstage. Prop Pops are the only exception, they will stay with Mr. Nathan or Mr. David in the loading docks until our turn to load in and perform.
